Location: Polson, MT
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Pay: $2,400/week
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts with weekend rotation

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Polson, Montana. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive obstetrical care in a technologically supported and patient-centered environment. The RN will cover all areas of OB, including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.

This position is ideal for a confident L&D nurse who values autonomy, strong clinical skills, and the chance to work in a close-knit community setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using wireless fetal monitoring systems
  • Manage obstetric emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage, utilizing the JADA device
  • Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries as needed
  • Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
  • Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic medical records
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and infection control standards

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
  • EPIC Systems experience
  • Current certifications:
    • BLS
    • NRP
    • STABLE
    • CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor)
  • Ability to work 3×12-hour shifts with weekend rotations
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills

Shift & Assignment Details

  • Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts per week
  • Weekends required per rotation
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Pay: $2,400 per week
