Job Summary
Express Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a reputable Health & Rehabilitation Center in Butte, Montana. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist patients in developing, recovering, and improving skills needed for daily living and working.
Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as established by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and daily living skills
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment results accurately and timely
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and home exercise programs
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient-centered care
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, documentation standards, and state regulations
Required Qualifications
- Current COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) license in the state of Montana
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work 36 hours per week for the full 13-week contract
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehab center, or similar setting
- Contract or travel healthcare experience preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
